One of the most memorable sessions at the AHURI National Housing Conference I attended earlier this month in Brisbane, was a panel of lived experience advocates. The presenters all agreed on the importance of recognizing people with lived experience and experience of being service users as the primary stakeholders for all the work done in the housing and homelessness sector.
Ultimately, housing is all about the people – they are the reason for all that shelter Tas does, for and with our members. So listen out for the phrase ‘primary stakeholders’ in some of our work from now on. Read more…
