Shelter Tas’ recent op ed article, It is always someone’s backyard, has also received significant media attention. The article looks at the increasingly unaffordable housing market in Tasmania (highlighted in the RAI), the importance of safe, affordable and appropriate homes for Tasmanians, and the need for acceptance of affordable housing in all communities. The article was included in the Mercury’s Talking Point section on Tuesday 2 December and excepts were included in a larger article (and on the front page) of the Sunday Tasmanian on 1 December.
