Youth, Family and Community Connections

Mon 3 August 2020 @ 11:00 am - Fri 7 August 2020 @ 5:00 pm

Youth, Family and Community Connections will broadcast Colony 47’s Soundscape alongside the HELP Film Festival films on the public screen at the Paranaple Centre in Devonport. A rolling schedule throughout each week day will feature all three films.

YFCC Facebook page campaign will also run throughout the week with daily posts featuring HELP Film festival entries.

HELP films will also be posted on the YFCC website.

The H.E.L.P (Homelessness: Every Life is Precious) short film festival was a YFCC initiative that ran from 2012 – 2019. HELP invited young Tasmanians to submit short films that addressed the issue of homelessness.

The festival provided young people (12 – 24yrs) with the opportunity to explore complex issues which exist within their schools, networks and broader community. It also provided the opportunity for young people to share their ideas and views on relevant topics as well as showcasing some of their skills in the area of film making and media.
