Homes for All – Education campaign
Centacare Evolve Housing and CatholicCare Tasmania representatives will be visiting schools across greater Hobart to raise awareness on the topic of homelessness and explore solutions and actions to create change with students and teachers.
Students from participating schools are invited to decorate large cut-out card houses with facts and statistics about homelessness in Tasmania. These will be accompanied by messages expressing what it means to live in a home, from young peoples’ perspectives, and offer ideas and possible solutions to end homelessness and fix housing stress.
Student leaders from schools will be present at the media launch on Friday, 6th August at 10:30am to launch the ‘Homes for All’ campaign and invite the public to say ‘Yes In My Backyard’.
Students’ cut-out card houses will be displayed at Mathers Lane from 10:30am on the 6th August.
