Community housing sector submission to the Productivity Commission, Human Services: identifying sectors for reform

Australia’s social housing system has been behind the curve in introducing competition and user choice, both in comparison to other human services such as disability support but also by international standards. The sector has suffered from fractured relations between the Commonwealth and States, and a lack of leadership by either.
