Shelter Tas is the peak body for Tasmania’s housing and homelessness sector. We are an independent not-for-profit organisation and a registered charity.
Our members include homelessness services and not-for-profit housing providers in Tasmania, and other interested organisations and individuals.
We advocate for a better housing system, focusing on the needs of Tasmanians experiencing and at risk of homelessness, or facing rental hardship.
We develop evidence-based policy and recommendations to government.
We bring the diverse voices of our sector together so that people in all regions of Tasmania can have the housing and support that meets their needs.
